I do Christianity!
I'm taking Confirmation right now, one of the seven sacraments. Wish me luck!
I go to church every Sunday, pray every day; especially during an A.P. European test, and I believe in God, G-UNIT!
Back to writing my letter to the pope...

I believe in Quantum Physics and that there is a God. I believe that the Old Testament is an (hope this is the right word) alagory for our relationship to God. What else is there? ummm Jesus saves....

I'm an Animistic Eclectic Pagan with Satanistic beliefs.
As far as life and death and overly simplistic basic beliefs go: I believe in evolution and/or big bang; I don't believe in a "fire and brimstone" hell but instead a more personal hell for each of us; I believe in a Heaven but I also believe it takes many many lifetimes and lessons to reach it; I don't believe in "sin"; contrary to the title "Satanist" I do not believe in Satan; I believe that everything natural-not just things that live, *everything*, has an essense (lifeforce, soul, whatever word you like).
I also believe that willfull ignorance and/or blatant stupidity will destroy us all.
I enjoy good conversation so if you have polite questions, feel free to PM me. But if all you are going to do is flame me, don't waste either of our times.

I grew up as a Christian because I was told to. I grew up hating going to church and sunday school. I was asked where do you see god in your life. I thought for days about this. I couldn't answer the question. I couldn't see him and wondered if he even was real. I decided to give up religion until I could believe that he is there helping us, watching us, protecting us, and today I have no religion.

My firm belief is that God...the Big Dood...Big Dood-et...whatever...isn't as Anal Retentive as many religions make him/her/it out to be. God is NOT religious....Humans are... God is spiritual/dimensional....People will say: " If there is a God why is there so much death.." and so on. I would believe that God as a 4th or higher dimensional being cannot work outside of the 3rd dimensional laws of physics. If he did he would not be God....
I seriously think that when we die we go to a Higher Dimensional plane....there we have a choice...(That is one of the main teachings in the bible that I have read is Freedom of Choice)...the choice is do we want to go on in the new dimensional plane as we are...or go back be reborn and "tweak" ourselves for the next time....and so on and so on....at some point we would choose to move on as a Higher Dimensional being...I believe that the higher dimensions have different levels to which we can aspire too....so the rebirth and the tweaking of ourselves would be to reach these levels.

My only belief is you go where you think you will go. If you feel like you've sinned, you'll go to hell. If you want heaven, it's heaven. Me; I'm rather un-opinionated. I just think you go where you want to go, there is no "higher" authority, and people will make it what they want as they want it.
IE: I will go through endless adventures once I hit the "great beyond" and hop from battle to battle and world to world.
That's my perspective.

The Law of Conservation of Mass states that:
In an equation, mass is neither created or destroyed. The output is the same amount as the input amount although the form may be changed.
The Laws of Thermodynamics states that:
0. If two systems are in thermal equilibrium (same temperature) with a third system, then they are all in thermal equilibrium with each other.
1. Energy can neither be created nor destroyed but can be converted from one state to another.
2. Heat flows from regions of higher temperature to regions of lower temperature on its own accord. (Heat will not spontaneously flow from a cold object to a warmer object.)
Hermetics states that:
That which is Below corresponds to that which is Above, and that which is Above corresponds to that which is Below, to accomplish the miracles of the One Thing. And just as all things have come from this One Thing, through the Meditation of One Mind, so do all created things originate from this One Thing, through Transformation.
There are five tenets to Alchemy according to John Reid:
1. That the entire universe is divine in origin. Therefore Wisdom and Guidance must be sought from the source from which all creation flows.
2. That all organisms, no matter how subtle or gross they are, have within them the divine spark of life and are interrelated with each other. It is therefore our task to understand this kinship, so that we may utilize inspired knowledge to aid in our understanding of how to prepare the quintessence of our matter.
3. That all organisms are in a state of constant evolution as they continue their synthesis towards perfection. Upon reaching an understanding of tenet (2) the true work begins, i.e. , the aiding of nature by the art of alchemy to reach its highest point of perfection.
4. That humans are a part of the universe. Therefore, they are divine in origin and they can affect all organisms on all spheres of existence by their actions or inaction.
5. That humans, by understanding the basic laws that govern their beings and conversely the entire universe may learn to recognize the divine spark of vital energy in all organisms, isolate it, purify it, and manipulate it to speed up the processes of evolution.

I loved science before becoming a Christian, and I love it now. It's fascinating. But science can easily degenerate into scientism, and morph into a "god" of sorts, its proponents becoming as rigid and close-minded as anyone out there. Close-mindedness stifles scientific inquiry and advancement.
Scientism tends to see itself as having "arrived", when it has only just begun. By its own admission, humankind arrived on the scene a moment ago in the vastness of cosmic time. Collectively, the human race holds a minute amount of all available knowledge. Science is an infant, and all that is has discovered thus far are its fingers and toes. At present, it is far too primitive to prove or disprove the existance of an ultimate life form (read God), and that is likely to remain so for the foreseeable future.
Concerning reality as it is, there are a few things that we understand, and a lot that we don't understand, but nothing is "supernatural" -- the word is a misnomer. What is real, is real -- what is not,is not.

There is a beginning.
There is a middle.
There is an end.

i feel like Christianity is like a cult
we chant in a temple
we praise a higher being
we "eat" their flesh
we follow what "it" said
we give them our money
kinda sounds a bit like satanism to me actually, without the blood orgies

Knido, I feel that it may be fair to say that your grasp for why Christians do these things may be lacking. Yet, this thread is not for debate, and if it boils down to that then it will be locked. So, if you, or anyone else for that matter, feels that way about Christianity in all honesty, send me a PM and maybe I can clarify.

i dont believe in things that cannot be proven, for the most part.
god falls under that category. interesting there was a conversation about this exact topic earlier today in lions arch that i participated in.
right now, i am a firm believer in flying spaghetti monsterism.
that is, i believe that we were created by Him and that i have been touched by His Noodly Appendage (i know how it sounds, no words).
to celebrate his noodliness, i often dress in pirate regalia and eat pasta.
ramen, that is all.

Religion isn't about wealth. It's much deeper than that. You're confused.
Sure, some religion services ask for donations, but, that doesn't deem them out to take money from people like taking candy from a baby, as you seem to think.
